Winter Engagement Photos at Iona Beach | Amy and Navid

I have the pleasure of working with some of the sweetest couples! Amy and Navid are one of them. The way they interact with each other makes you think they had just met and fallen in love. Smitten with each other, even after many years of dating, they seem to always be in their honeymoon phase. They light up each other’s world, and the joy they exude when together is absolutely contagious.

Since they do not live in Vancouver, I first met up with Amy over Skype. The moment we connected, I knew she was my kind of bride! She was kind, friendly, and an absolute joy to talk to. As for Navid, I did not get to meet him until the day of the engagement session, but his love for Amy was apparent within minutes of seeing them together. He was always on the lookout for his girl, and everything he said to her was an expression of this love and of his admiration for Amy. While Amy would always tell him to stop for fear that I would cringe at the sweetness between them, I would always tell them to never stop. I love seeing them together; these two are definitely meant to be.

We originally scheduled the engagement session in the summer. However, due to a family emergency, we had to postpone the session until they were able to come back to Vancouver—only about a week before the wedding in Winter!  These two lovebirds were in good and fun-loving spirits when I met them in person before the shoot, even though they were both tired from the travel. We had a blast during the engagement session, which was filled with lots of laughter and silliness.

A little over a week later, these two lovebirds tied the knot at a simple yet elegant wedding at the UBC Boathouse.
