Whytecliff Park Sunset Engagement

Elisa and Tom’s engagement photo session brought love and laughter to Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver, a beautiful setting to celebrate the continuation of their cherished ten-year romance into next steps and future marriage! Sunsets at Whytecliff Park are always something to look forward to. The combination of the blue water, the epic rocks, the mountains near and far, the changing colors of the sky… it’s no wonder this location is a particularly popular spot for photos.

Whytecliff Park Sunset Engagement in West Vancouver

The sunset here in Canada mirrored the sunset in Asia that blessed their proposal, where Tom nervously asked Elisa to marry him a year prior to this engagement session. Then, Tom presented Elisa with a beautiful, custom designed diamond engagement ring. The proposal was a race against the sun going down, trying to keep it all together, capture the moment on film, while keeping the surprise and the romance! Even though Elisa thought the whole production was quite funny, she said yes! Tom’s imperfect proposal was absolutely perfect. Elisa would not change anything about their engagement, and nor would she change anything about Tom, describing him as “caring, sweet and really funny!”

Now, on this special evening of their West Vancouver engagement session, there was no rush, they could take their time, and I was super honoured to be there and celebrate their engagement in the sunset! They brought their furbaby, the cutest and sweetest, fluffiest toy poodle. As a dog lover myself, I couldn’t be happier!

Elisa’s beautiful flowy blush dress looked as though it had been kissed by the same brush that painted the Whytecliff sky. Tom’s dress pants were casually hiked to the knee, as they both dipped their toes in the crisp waters of Horseshoe Bay. I absolutely love it when my couples get a little adventurous and don’t mind getting a little wet – the photos turned out beautifully, if I may say so myself!

Their love enveloped each other in warm caresses, and sweet kisses. What a beautiful couple and their
lasting love, and what an exceptional evening to capture these special memories!
