“Long distance relationships are hard, but love and trust conquers the pain. We are stronger together and even when we are apart we are in each other’s hearts. We miss each other so much but that makes us appreciate out time when we are together.”
Veronica and Justin met in Vancouver 8 years ago in a downtown cafe. Only one month later, Veronica moved to Toronto for school, and so began their long-distance relationship. Since graduation, they have moved several times, together and apart. Even now, though Veronica is in Vancouver, Justin frequently has to travel to another province for work. However, no matter where they are, their relationship remains strong.
One fateful summer day, Justin took Veronica for a walk at UBC through a trail. He led her to a clearing of trees, stood on a cliff overlooking the water and the ocean, pulled out a beautiful ring, and got on one knee. The words that he said next, Veronica will probably remember forever: “I took you here eight years ago before you left for Toronto, now I don’t want you to ever leave again. Will you marry me?”
Ahh! How romantic and loving is that? I totally swooned when I heard Veronica tell me that story. It is a story that is perfect. It is a story that will be told to their families and future children and generations to come.
During the engagement session, I can tell how much love is between these two just by the way they look at each other. In Veronica’s words, Justin is a gentleman, always chivalrous, and always provides for her. And I can absolutely testify to that, as he held her hand while they walked the rocky paths of Whytecliff Park, and supported her when navigating up and down the slippery logs on the beach, and gently embracing her every now and then.
These two soulmates have been long-distance for 8 years, and this year, they are tying the knot! Congratulations, Veronica and Justin! I am so happy that you found each other, and I wish you two the sweetest destination wedding and a blessed marriage happily ever after!
