Cherry Blossom Engagement Photos at Stanley Park, Vancouver

Jean and Matthew’s first impressions of each other were mixed. Jean thought Matthew was nervous, while Matthew found Jean quirky. However, they quickly discovered that they shared the same life goals, which helped them to connect on a deeper level. Jean also quickly realized that Matthew has a very loving nature, while Matthew loves how caring Jean is. They relish in the simple pleasures of devouring delicious pizza slices and playing boardgames together. They also delight in indulging in delectable cuisine at a restaurant, savouring each bite, and washing it down with delightful bubble tea, all while basking in each other’s company. To celebrate their decision to get married, they decided to get cherry blossom engagement photos at Stanley Park!

ADVICE FROM ENGAGED COUPLE JEAN AND MATTHEW

Why did you want to get engagement photos done?
We felt that taking engagement photos officially indicates the start of wedding planning. We’re planning on sending these photos to loved ones to notify them of our plans to wed.

Which location(s) did you pick and why did you pick them for your engagement session?
We really wanted a cherry blossom themed shoot! Stanley Park seemed like the best choice given the weather, cherry blossoms and minimal crowds.

What are some things in general that you have found to have enhanced your relationship with each other?
Spending quality time together doing activities we both enjoy. Such as, cooking, playing games and travelling (pre-covid). We make sure to make time to spend with each other and are vocal about our needs in the relationship.

What is some advice you have for newly engaged couples planning their wedding so far?
Plan ahead and do your research! Sit down with your partner to find out what a wedding looks like for both of you. Also, decide on a budget and stick to it. Find ways to compromise so that both parties are happy. Remember, it’s YOUR wedding.

We still have a wedding to go, but what is your experience with Vivian Ng Photography so far? 🙂
Vivian was great to work with! She was friendly, flexible and experienced. She made us feel really comfortable during the shoot – almost to the point that we forgot she was there. 10/10 would recommend and can’t wait for her to shoot our wedding!!
