Love what you see?
Wedding Planning Advice from the lovely Tiffany and Chris
Why did you want to get engagement photos done?
Engagement photos were important to us because we wanted to have photos commemorating our relationship in the gorgeous city we met and live in. This was a rare opportunity to have our photos professionally taken. We also treated it as a practice session before our actual wedding! Looking back, it was definitely a great decision to work with Vivian for the engagement photos and to get an understanding of how she photographs and guides us. Now we know what to expect on our wedding day!
Which location(s) did you pick and why did you pick them for your engagement session?
Having the beautiful Vancouver cherry blossoms that bloom in April in some of our photos was definitely a priority for us. We were worried that there would be crowds everywhere. We were so grateful that Vivian did a lot of research and recommended a hidden gem spot. This first location had a sea of cherry blossom trees but not many people! We picked our second location, Steveston Waterfront, because we have lots of memories walking our two dogs and having casual dates there. The waterfront pier is perfect for a summertime stroll with pets. It is also a great location to watch the sunset in front of the water.
What are some things in general that you have found to have enhanced your relationship with each other?
Being able to spend more quality time together at home. It has been one of the blessings in disguise from the pandemic. Sometimes, just taking it slow and spending a night on the couch with the dogs and having a deep discussion about life can be just as fulfilling, if not more, than going out for a date night.
What is some advice you have for newly engaged couples planning their wedding so far?
We know planning a wedding during a pandemic can be one of the most stressful challenges for couples, as we are still experiencing it first-hand! Our advice would be to make sure you are adaptable to change and are keeping open communication with your partner. I personally find it very stressful when things don’t go according to plan. However, this pandemic has taught me to re-evaluate my priorities and values periodically, and to be open-minded with having a Plan A, B, and maybe even C sometimes! Last but not least, nothing can’t be solved if couples talk things through together. Try to both make time for each other. This is especially important if someone is worried or stressed out. Also, ensure that you are both comfortable with any big decisions for your wedding.

Steveston Engagement Photos
Tiffany and Chris’s second location was at Steveston, Richmond. Their Engagement Session at Steveston Waterfront was a beautiful celebration of their love, along with their two furry companions. Their Steveston Engagement Photos were such a joy to capture as the sun began to dip below the horizon, creating a warm and romantic atmosphere. The charming historic fishing village and its stunning sunset provided a breathtaking backdrop for capturing memories that will last a lifetime.
The couple’s two dogs added an extra special touch to their Steveston Engagement Photos. Their playful and energetic presence made the session even more special, capturing the couple’s love for not just each other but their furry family members as well. The beautiful sunset at Steveston provided a picturesque setting for capturing every moment of their love, from the couple posing on a wooden dock to standing in front of a colorful sunset. The memories from their Steveston engagement session will be cherished for years to come.
Kind Words from Tiffany and Chris:
Vivian’s flexibility, customer service, and passion for her work has really impressed us so far. She has been incredibly responsive to our needs and detailed in her communications (whether it be by text, email, or phone), which is very important to us during these uncertain times. We most appreciate the fact that she goes the extra mile in everything that she does – from providing styling advice and wedding day timeline recommendations, to finding as many picture-perfect spots as possible during our photoshoot! Vivian is an incredibly kind and patient photographer – we, our dogs, and our family members all had so much fun with her!
