There were not a lot of Autumn colors left around the area, but the waves were rolling over and crashing lightly onto the rocks. The sky was like watercolor, the setting sun painting a softness overhead. After driving around for a bit, we found a lovely beach with a row of yellow trees nearby. We decided to make a stop there, and it was so worth it.
Amanda first contacted me for a set of family photos at Deer Lake before the wedding. Since their wedding is half way around the world, they did not have engagement photos done, so we included a short, mini engagement session right after the family session. It was so much fun, but so short, that I offered to extend their session to take place a couple days later. We decided on taking their two pups to Stanley Park for a nice evening together.
Near the end, we drove to a lagoon right outside the park, and there was one of the most beautiful purple sunset which reflected a wonderful silhouette of the trees on the water. Even though it was getting dark really quick, we were able to get some evening shots in to complete their gallery.
