One of the many blessings early this Spring was meeting Ashley, a fellow photographer located in Alabama (Yes, across that border!) and her husband Weston. (Be sure to check out her work at Ashley Brooke Photography!) I first met Ashley online in a private Facebook group for Amy and Jordan‘s photography students. Ashley and Weston spent a couple days in Vancouver before their trip on an Alaskan cruise, and my husband Victor and I got to go on a double date with them!
Before we headed out for North Vancouver, we spotted some beautiful cherry blossoms in Vancouver’s residential areas, and were elated to be able to get some portraits underneath these blooms.

Aren’t these the prettiest flowers of Spring?

I mean, look at this row of cherry blossom trees? How can we resist walking under this canopy of beauty and taking a few shots here?

We then drove to North Vancouver and chased the sunset, which is the “best time for photographers” for those of us who love that dreamy light during golden hour. Even though it was still cold for Spring, we had a great time taking photos of each other near the waters of Deep Cove.

Would have loved to award these two with the “Cutest married couple award”!

This area is really scenic!

That light. That wind. That romance.

Hope to see you again Ashley and Weston! It has been an absolute pleasure going on this photo double date! God bless back in Alabama!
